2025 AIMS Conference

This presentation will include a theoretical summation of the importance and formative role self-expression has during adolescence, as well as practical examples from the presenter’s experience as an artist and Montessori adolescent guide. The presenter will be accompanied by a panel of current and/or former adolescents to share their reflections on the importance of opportunities for self-expression in their life.

Preserving and sustaining the Montessori Legacy requires professional leadership dispositions compatible to the school’s vision and values. Guiding schools to achieve its potential requires transformative leadership. The session includes discussion of professional competencies, personal dispositions and collaborative strategies focusing on what the organization does well. Beginning with the strengths that motivates leaders to meet challenges with a ‘can do’ attitude.
