The Role of Self-Expression in the Third Plane

This presentation will include a theoretical summation of the importance and formative role self-expression has during adolescence, as well as practical examples from the presenter’s experience as an artist and Montessori adolescent guide. The presenter will be accompanied by a panel of current and/or former adolescents to share their reflections on the importance of opportunities for self-expression in their life.

Colin Palombi is Co-Director of Adolescent Programming at Train Montessori. He was the founding director of Chicago Montessori's adolescent community and has worked with adolescents in and out of Montessori classrooms since 2004.
