2025 AIMS Conference

In this presentation, experienced guides will highlight best practices and work to align the Montessori-prepared environment with the Common Core Content Standards to which public Montessori schools are held accountable. Examples will include alignment within the instructional core of ELA, math, and authentic Montessori cultural studies. Participants will see a scope of work from Primary through Upper Elementary, focusing on the importance of the prepared environment.

As Montessori teachers and administrators, we strive for perfectly prepared environments in our classrooms and schools. Using survey input from Montessorians around the country, this workshop will delve into the phenomenon of perfectionism and explore the possibility that developing comfort with imperfection is more Montessori-appropriate, and can lead to better outcomes for administrators, classroom guides, and students alike.
