Dr. Elizabeth Griffith is a Magnet Schools Support Specialist in the Department of Advanced Learning and Specialty Programs for Chicago Public Schools. She designs professional development that integrates national Magnet standards, instructional best practices, and programmatic themes to elevate teaching and learning.
With 23 years in CPS, Elizabeth has served as a Teacher, Network Instructional Support Leader, Reading Coach, and Administrator. Her background in literacy instruction and coaching has been a driving force throughout her career, ensuring that high-quality reading practices are embedded across content areas. Over the past seven years, she has worked closely with schools implementing specialty themes such as Montessori, World Language, Fine Arts, STEM, and Technology. As a district advocate for public Montessori programming, she ensures its integration within broader initiatives while supporting school staff to foster equitable, student-centered learning environments.
